The following qualifications are required to be accepted into our Student Driver Program:
Have a valid CDL Class A (HAZMAT not required but encouraged)
Be at least 21 years old
Meet DOT requirements and pass a DOT physical, which includes substance screening
Have a safe driving record
Have a good work history
Be able to fulfill the physical demands of the job
Be a graduate of a truck driving school approved by Drivers Management
One of the many benefits of being a professional driver with Werner Enterprises is tuition reimbursement. Driver's Management will reimburse to the driver, $100 per month, as long as you are employed with Werner. Reimbursement starts on the first pay period of the month following the completion of 30 days of employment. The total amount reimbursed will not exceed $7,500.
